I wasn't happy with the way I had made my other photo shop piece as I felt it was too rushed, so I decided to start over again. We were asked to compile two collages of buildings on photoshop, one collage of buildings we like in Leicester and another of buildings we don't like in Leicester.
Collage One
These are the buildings in Leicester which I like the most. The curve building the clock tower and the Leicester dock building all have a similar colour scheme of dull colours. The curve and the dock building are futuristic, this contrasts with the train station and clock tower which look older. I used transform (ctrl-T) to change the perspective of some buildings and to skew them. i copied the image of the train station and flipped it vertically to act as a shadow. i then put the filter 'screen' to make it look like a reflection against water. I used the blue sky background, as blue skies are often associated with happiness.
Collage Two
These are the buildings in Leicester I don't like, i made the collage dull by adding a darkening filter over the collage. I also added a gloomy sky, which is associated with bad moods, and sadness. I used transform (ctrl-T) to change the perspective of some buildings and to skew them, so they would fit around each other.
At the bottom of the image I added a reflection of the collage. i was able to give the reflection a filter to make it look like a body of water.
